The publication of the Citizen Initiative Portal has been recognised as the greatest achievement of the Open Governance Partnership Action Plan for 2014-2016 in the field of open policy-making. To date, we have sent over 7,000 digital signatures to the Estonian Parliament (Riigikogu).
The time has come to move forward and further develop the collective petitioning right. This is required in order to populate the created environment with initiatives that will make our lives better!
To begin with, we have created clarifying materials in three languages that explain the essence of collective initiatives. What is a “collective initiative”? How is it processed? What are requirements?
Please read, get acquainted with and share the information within your community, organisation, actively thinking friends and acquaintances.
If you would like to discuss the topic and law amendments in more detail, having read the brochure, please put your questions to us and feel free to invite us to talk about the public initiative at your event! During our work together, we have collected a significant amount of advisory material, which we would like to share with new potential initiators. We are also ready to introduce the web platform capabilities and benefits to your team members.
Please write to firstname.lastname@example.org, describe your event, and let’s agree on the details of our meeting!
